Owen Stolworthy, 13, Rushcliffe
Owen is 13 and was nominated by Jake Sims, a youth worker in Keyworth.
Owen has gone through the personal tragedy of losing his father. Throughout this, he supported family members including looking after his younger siblings. Owen's grandad is battling cancer and, alongside his mum, Owen helps to take care of him.
Despite going through such a difficult time Owen is always supportive of others, is always ready with a smile and a joke - making others happy to be around him.
Jake, who nominated Owen, said “Despite everything he has gone through Owen still engages positively within the youth centre. He has positive relationships with his peers and staff. He always wants to help, whether that’s supporting his friends or helping at the youth centre. He is lovely to be around and always wants others to be happy”.
