You will need

  • streetlight location details

The map on the form enables you to locate the area where the streetlight is situated and select the light with which there is a problem. When you have selected a streetlight, you will see its exact location to ensure you have chosen the correct streetlight.

You can use the search box above the map to type in a postcode or street which will zoom the map and enable you to locate the streetlight more quickly.

Please provide as many details of the problem as possible.

You can report a damaged streetlight anonymously, however if you would like to receive updates (e.g. when the streetlight has been fixed), please provide your contact details. If your enquiry is related to lamp positioning, you will be asked to provide an address if this is useful to the issue.

All information you provide is protected in-line with the Data Protection Act

What will happen next

All reported streetlights will be inspected within 10 working days. The next steps taken will depend on the nature of the problem. More information of how work is prioritised is on our street lighting page.

Once you have reported a streetlight defect, if you have provided an email address we will subsequently keep you informed of any key steps, namely:

  • when the streetlight has been inspected
  • when the streetlight has been fixed
  • if the streetlight has been passed to a third party to repair
