Recruitment Process
Applications for 2024 are now open. You can apply here.
We use a rigorous selection process to identify suitable trainees comprising three stages.
The application form gives you your first opportunity to tell us more about yourself and what you can bring to the role.
You will be asked to outline how you meet the skills set we are looking for.
Applicants who are successful at the application stage are asked to attend a half day assessment centre.
We have several activities that enable you to interact with other candidates and showcase your talents.
You also get the chance to meet current and former graduate trainees so you can find out more about working for the organisation and being a trainee on the Programme
Successful candidates from the assessment centres stage are asked to attend a final interview usually at County Hall.
You are interviewed by a panel of senior managers and encouraged to show how you have the skills set and attributes needed to become a trainee on the Programme.
Applications for our 2024 intake are now open and close on Tuesday 16 April.
If successful you will be asked to attend one of our virtual assessment centres which will be held on 18 and 19 June .
You will take part in activities which help us identify whether you have the appropriate attitudes and behaviours to get on the scheme.
Following the assessment centres, the final interviews will be held on 1 July.
New trainees will start on the Programme in late September.
