Nottinghamshire local area SEND strategy (2024-2027)

The local area partnership has been developing the SEND strategy since autumn 2023 and has been supported by the Research and Improvement for SEND Excellence (RISE) Partnership. 

The strategy is due to be published by the end of June 2024. The Research and Improvement for SEND Excellence (RISE) has published a report [PDF] on its work with the local area in Nottinghamshire.

The local area has identified the following outcomes for children and young people with SEND in Nottinghamshire:

• I need to be listened to and heard
• I need to be the healthiest I can be
• I need to be safe and feel safe
• I need to be accepted and valued by the people I trust
• I need to be prepared for my future
• I need to enjoy life and have fun.
