This Council notes that residents across Nottinghamshire are going through an unprecedented cost of living crisis.
Disposable incomes across Nottinghamshire are at their lowest level for generations.
This Council further notes the rises in energy bills, water bills, boradband and mobile phone bills, food bills, Council Tax and now National Insurance.
We therefore ask the Leaders of the Conservaties, Independent Alliance and Labour Groups on Nottinghamshire County Council to write an urgent letter to the Chancellor of the Exchequer calling for the National Insurance rise to be scrapped to avoid making the cost-of-living crisis even worse than it already is.
