Section 188 Notices issued in 2011

Section 188 Notice published 2 November 2011

This Notice reflects the proposals arising from ongoing service reviews across the council as well as other new savings, all of which will contribute towards our overall savings target currently in the region of £70 million which the Council will make over two years 2012/13 and 2013/14.

The 382.09 posts listed on this Section 188 Notice as potentially affected relate to 2012/13 savings.

Some of these posts are part of the Council's ongoing budget savings which were announced last year, others are new savings and all form part of the total number of post reductions the Council expects to make by 2015 – estimated at 2,500 posts.

The 90 day consultation period on these proposals will end on 30 January 2012, and runs alongside the public consultation on the council’s budget proposals.

It's likely that a further Section 188 Notice will be published later in the year as senior officers and Members make further decisions about next year's budget.
