The council has implemented an internal coaching programme to support the development of a coaching culture. Our in-house Coaching Network of coaches accredited to the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 5 standard in Coaching and Mentoring provide one-to-one coaching to employees. Coaching is one of the key leadership and management tools used by an increasing number of organisations to improve individual and organisational performance to unlock capability by:
- helping managers to get the best from their teams.
- improving employee motivation and engagement.
- promoting creativity and innovation.
- developing high performance workplaces.
As part of the Council's ongoing commitment to embed a coaching style and cultures across the organisation, the established coaching offer has been extended to include offer of team coaching and Manager as Coach programme.
