Become a Healthier Option Takeaway (HOT)

The HOT merit scheme was run by Nottinghamshire County Council and our District and Borough Council partners from 2015 to 2026. It recognised takeaway outlets that made positive steps by introducing healthier options on their menus.

The HOT scheme was reviewed in 2025 and 2026 with the impact considered, and a decision was made to cease delivery from 5 June 2026. We hope the HOT scheme provided lasting changes to how food is prepared, cooked or displayed to make it healthier.
