Online applications

You can no longer make an online application as the service has now closed.

First admission and infant to junior transfer school places - September 2014

You should accept the offer of a place online by logging into School Admissions Online system.

During busy periods you may experience delays in accessing the online system due to high volumes of users.

You have until 30 April 2014 to submit your response.

If you are unable to access the service then you can email your acceptance of an offer to: accept.myplace@nottscc.gov.uk indicating which school you wish to accept

Apply for a school place for September 2014, as part of the normal admissions round

If you live in Nottinghamshire, you must apply for a school place through Nottinghamshire County Council, regardless of the schools that you prefer. 

If you have not already applied for a school place  for September 2014 contact the school admissions team on 01623 433499 to make a telephone application.

If you have applied and  your child is:

  • transferring from infant school (Y2) to junior education (Y3) - If you applied online you will receive your outcome via email on 16 April 2014.  If you applied over the telephone or on a paper form your outcome will be posted second class on 16 April 2014
  • starting school – first admission - if you applied online you will receive your outcome via email on 16 April 2014.  If you applied over the telephone or on a paper form your outcome will be posted second class on 16 April 2014. 

If you are unsure whether you live in the area covered by Nottinghamshire County Council, you can find your home local authority using the DirectGov search facility.

Check here to find your catchment area school.  If you cannot apply online, you can contact the school admissions team on 01623 433499 for help with making an application [PDF].

Applications for school places at all other times (known as in-year applications) are dealt with differently.
