Batteries

Used batteries including mobile phone batteries, rechargeable batteries and cordless tool batteries are all accepted at recycling centres.

Standard car batteries are also accepted, but batteries from electric vehicles are not accepted. EV batteries should be taken back to specialist retailers or disposal companies.

Some district councils also provide a collection for smaller used household batteries from your home.

Please note that batteries should not be placed in any household bin.
