Journey Planner Privacy Notice
Nottinghamshire Journey Planner has been developed by an external organisation called Trapeze. On the Journey Planner you can find out about transport services, plan journeys and get news about journeys you are planning to take, for example if a bus is running late.
The type of personal information Trapeze collect
If you choose to sign up to receive email notifications about the services, Trapeze will store the following information:
- Your email address – so they can send you email alerts. You do not have to sign up for email alerts to use the web site or the app.
- A password – this is encrypted and only you can see it
You can return to your profile to change it or delete it at any time. If you delete it, all data related to you is permanently deleted. You will have to create a new account to receive further travel alerts.
Trapeze also stores the following data against your profile:
- Any stops, services, localities or transport operators for which you’d like to receive alerts
- Any journey options where you have changed the defaults, for example if you change your preferred walking speed or select the option which gives you journeys with fewer changes.
Trapeze will also store a code that identifies your mobile device and the make of the device. This is not stored alongside or linked with your email address and it only identifies the device, not an individual person, unless you choose to link your device to an email address.
If you choose to not sign up to receive email alerts about the services, you can sign up for alerts to your mobile device without giving Trapeze any personal information such as a name or email address. They will use the unique device identifier to send alerts to the mobile device.
How Trapeze get the personal information and why they collect it
Most of the personal information Trapeze processes is provided by you to allow them to send you travel alerts. It is not used for any other purpose.
How Trapeze store your personal information
Trapeze keeps your email address and your preferred journey options for as long as your travel alert account is active. They will only keep your information for as long as you use the service. You can delete your account at any time and as soon as the account is deleted the information will be permanently deleted.
