Wine Glass Painting Workshop
Join us for a creative session painting wine glasses with artist Sue. You will spend time relaxing and embracing something new with creative people, all in the beautiful surroundings of Nottinghamshire’s’ finest vineyard. The image is just an example of what you can create, you will have a wide range of colours to choose from to design your own. Where will the workshop take place? -Working in our 100sqm open Craft barn with 3 large windows with views out to the fields and vineyard. What will I learn? – you will learn different techniques for applying specialist glass paints. Sue will help you create a template, using a design from your own imagination or inspiration from a selection of samples, and then you can make your one-off creation. What you will paint – You will complete at least one wine glass, depending on how quickly you work you may complete two. Who is this workshop for? -Perfect for beginners and anyone who enjoys painting or having a go at things. What is included? – No extra costs, all materials and tools are provided along with refreshments and a snack. Please note – Your glass will need to be set at home in the oven. It is an easy process. Simply finish in the oven (full instructions provided) and your glass will not only be beautifully glossy but dishwasher safe, too! About your tutor Sue After gaining a degree in Textiles and Design Management, Sue worked in printed textiles and graphic design for many years. She has studied Interior Design with the OCA, Botanical Painting, Pottery, Silk Painting, Portraiture and, at the National Design Academy, Mural Design and Professional Paint Finishes. For many years Sue worked on commission portraits and murals, loving designing a finished product for a client and being able to see their expression when they view their work for the first time and know she has made something unique and beautiful that they will treasure for many years to come. Taking this love of design forward, over the last 12 years, Sue has also been designing and implementing a range of art classes and creative workshops, both for adults and children. These include pencil drawing, silk painting, acrylics, soft pastels and watercolour. To ensure the quality of your personal experience, group size will be limited to 8.
