About this course
On this course, you will learn maths skills that are useful in everyday life and grow in confidence using maths, whilst working towards a City & Guilds qualification at a level that is right for you. Topics include basic number calculations, measurements, shape and space and data. At the start of the course, you will complete a task to help you and your tutor understand your starting point and this will help you and your tutor decide which level you will work towards, from Entry level to Level 2. Your City & Guilds assessment will usually take place during the final week of your course.
This course runs for 19 weeks and will be delivered online. However, your City & Guilds assessment will take place in a Nottinghamshire library or community venue, in line with government guidance. You will need to be prepared to travel to a venue in Nottinghamshire during the final week of your course. Please contact the course leader if this is not possible as alternative arrangements may be made where this is essential.
You will require access to a laptop or PC with internet access on which group Zoom classes will be delivered by your tutor. You will also need pen, pencil, paper/notepad, ruler, eraser and a calculator. If you need help accessing any of this, including support with Zoom, please contact your course leader/tutor or ask@inspireculture.org.uk or call 01623 677 200.
