Yoga Morning Retreat

Sunday 21 February 2021 9.30am to 1.15pm Hanwell Wine Estate £50.00

Take some time for yourself and join us for a relaxing morning session of yoga, breathing meditation, and nourish your body, mind, and soul. All in the beautiful rural setting of Hanwell Wine Estate. Your expert teacher Selina will guide you through your session so when you have finished you will feel refreshed, relaxed, and content.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The workshop will be broken down in the following aspects: 90 mins of Hatha yoga physical practice; 30 mins of breathing, meditation, and mudra practice; Weather permitting 30 mins mindful exploring and walks around the vineyard if not 30 mins for workshop sharing or journaling Tasty vegetarian or vegan lunch with your fellow students. The physical aspects of the workshop will be Hatha yoga focussing on the mind-body connection using gentle movement with breathing control to calm the mind bringing you all into the moment…….rather than your 100 jobs 'to do' list.

The aim is to leave you feeling like a large weight has been lifted from your shoulders – experiencing total relaxation and bliss. This class is suitable for all levels and is low in intensity with the options being given for more advanced students to work on some of the more challenging poses. It is rare in a yoga class to have sufficient time to explore breathwork, pranayama, or the details of ancient hand yoga, mudra. The workshop is designed to allow sufficient space and time for Selina to delve into some of the more restful and calming aspects of the full yoga experience. There will be plenty of time for discussion and questions throughout the morning.

Who is it for?

Everyone is welcome. Don't worry you don't need to be super flexible or able to touch your toes, all poses will be adapted for any level of practice from beginner to advanced and Selina can work with a variety of injuries or health concerns too. About your teacher

Selina Yoga Selina is a 200 hour RYT qualified instructor training under Swami Maha-taranada in Arizona USA. Selina came to yoga a few years ago after suffering an injury that prevented her usual running. She found the benefits of yoga on her mind to be a powerful tool in managing daily pressures and soon set about practicing in various corners of the world from Ibiza to Bali until she eventually decided to take the step to qualify as an instructor.

The drive for this was so that she could share with others the healing benefits of yoga. She is currently studying for her 500 hour RYT qualification, where she is deepening her own practice and learning lots of new aspects of yoga that she can bring to her students. To ensure the quality of your personal experience, group size will be limited. If we do not reach the minimum number of 8 people the session will not go ahead.
