Major Oak Woodland Festival
The ‘Major Oak Woodland Festival’ celebrates Britain’s greatest heart of oak! The Sherwood Forest Trust are leading the festival, to delve into its history of traditional woodland crafts, explore how it has been a productive woodland and salutes its communities past and present. The weekend will have stalls with bodgers, furniture makers, toy makers, willow weavers and other traditional craft demonstrators and traders. Watch demonstrations, talk to craftspeople, love Sherwood! Whether you love local crafts, are a woodland wanderer or want an enjoyable family day out, this is the experience you’re looking for. This event is free, but normal car parking charges of £4 per car per day (free to RSPB members) apply.
