Tell us when a parent or carer intends to home educate
This service is for
Schools or other Local Authorities to notify the Elective Home Education Team (EHE) that a parent/carer intends to home educate their child in accordance with Section 7 of the Education Act 1996.
You will need
- Details of the child
- Details of the parent/carers(s)
- The families’ strengths and needs
- You will be asked to upload dated evidence of the parent/carer(s) request to EHE
- To be able to confirm the Headteacher, or member of the Senior Leadership team (SLT) and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) are aware this form is being completed
- Details of any professional involved with the family
- You can add siblings to the same form if they attend the same school
