Speech bubble - Have your say on the budget

Budget survey 2025

The budget survey for 2025/2026 opened on
Tuesday 25 November 2025 and runs until Wednesday 7 January 2026. Complete the budget survey 2025.
We recently published Our Council Plan 2025-2029, which is a new, ambitious plan for the County Council. It outlines the Council’s ambitions and priorities, delivering effective and efficient public services to the people of Nottinghamshire. This is structured around three key outcomes: stronger families, thriving communities, and a connected county.

A fourth area of focus is about a Council that leads and a Council that listens, which is why we want to hear your views on the Council’s budget.

Each year, we have a legal duty to balance our budget and, as many of you will be aware, we’re feeling the pressures that are driving up the cost of living, such as increased inflation and energy costs. Many other factors, including a national shortage of social care staff and a need for more funding, are adding to those pressures.

We also know that local people are facing pressures on their household finances too, which is why our plans and strategies will help us to invest in our communities and, by using feedback from yourselves, we can shape a budget that will strengthen our ability to meet the needs of everyone we serve.

We want to invest in Nottinghamshire to meet our ambitions for everyone who lives and works in the county. To help us achieve this, we need to know your priorities.

Your views are important so please take the time to complete this short survey.
