Fair price for care demonstrates a commitment to a wide-ranging and ambitious reform of the adult social care system that protects people from unpredictable costs, offers more choice and control over care received, delivers outstanding quality and is accessible to those who need it. A sustainable care market is fundamental to delivering this ambition.  

The fair cost of care policy at Nottinghamshire County Council aims to eliminate cross-subsidy by giving self-funders the right to access the same rates that the Councils pay from October 2023.
