Nottinghamshire Household Support Fund (HSF) Phase 3

The deadline for new applications into the Household Support Fund has now passed. If you were sent a letter and have not yet applied, the team will be in touch with you soon to arrange providing you with support.  Please contact HouseholdSupportFund@nottscc.gov.uk with any queries.

The Government has extended the Household Support Fund (HSF) and provided a further £5.6 million between October 2022 to March 2023 to the County Council to support residents who are struggling to make ends meet due to the current rise in living costs.

For this phase, a one-off Winter Support payment worth on average around £100 for each eligible household to use towards energy and food bills.

The final amount per household will be proportionately adjusted based on the number of eligible people in the household to help with extra food costs.

How will we spend the money, and who is eligible to receive support from Phase 3 of the HSF?

  • £2 million will be shared among households with children in receipt of free school meals, or with children five or under with equivalent eligibility;
  • £1.55 million will be shared among households where one or more person is in receipt of or eligible for pension credit;
  • £1.53 million will be shared among any other households who may be facing significant cost of living challenges, particularly those who may not be eligible for other government support;
  • £210,000 will be used to make additional discretionary housing payments to help those who otherwise might face homelessness;

Nottinghamshire County Council continues to work closely with its partners and professionals across the County to identify those most in need.
