About this course

This course is designed for people who have a basic knowledge of how to play the guitar - ideally who have completed Inspire's Guitar for Beginners course.  This follow on course will expand upon and develop existing skills and introduce new chord and note playing in a practical way.

To participate on this course, you should have knowledge of:

- Names of the strings and how to play fretted notes/simple melodies

- Some 6, 5 and 4 string chords in the open/first position (E Minor, A Minor, C Major, F Major)

- How to play to a beat/plus simple strumming patterns

This course will expand your knowledge of chords and playing patterns and will enable you to play along to a wider variety of songs.  You will develop the understanding of how to transfer your skills to other songs and music too.

You will need a guitar - instruments can be hired from Inspire Music for a small fee.  Please see the website for more information.
