About this course
The intent of this online course is to explore art in relation to Mindfulness and Nature. Learners will research areas in relation to the Miner2Major project for artistic inspiration, and work in a Mindful way to create wonderful art pieces. With the guidance of the tutor, learners will create work from a range of different medium, and benefit from the wellbeing effects of art and nature. No prior skills or knowledge are required.
What will be covered on the course?
- Research into local natural and Heritage sites in the Miner2Major area.
- Look at local artists such as Emma Wilmot.
- A range of art techniques from sketching, use of colour and exploring mixed media.
- The mindful benefits of being out in nature and exploring places through the artistic lens.
What will learners achieve by the end of the course?
- Learners will create a portfolio, encompassing work inspired by the M2M area.
- Learners will be able to demonstrate how Mindfulness and Artwork together and will gain tool to enhance wellbeing through art and nature.
The tutor will demonstrate using a range of resources within the session and will let you know what you need beforehand. Learners will also be asked to collect images for the mixed media project.

- Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
