Current competitions
Design a poster to promote bus travel around Nottinghamshire!
We want young people to create an A4 poster that will help encourage people to catch the bus around the county of Nottinghamshire. It could be anything from what you think is fun about catching the bus, to how catching the bus can help the environment, the choice is yours!
The competition will be split up into two age groups which are:
- Ages four to seven
- Ages eight to 11.
Our panel of judges will choose one winner form each age group chosen to have their design used in our ongoing transport marketing. The winning designs will be featured in print and digital marketing that includes our bus station screens, in our Nottsbus On Demand vehicles and on social media!
But not just that, each winner will receive a family pass for an adventure experience at Holme Pierrepont Country Park. Your pass will grant to access to experience the nine-hole Mini Golf course and Sky Trail, with its dual-level adventure high ropes course at 12ft and 24ft, along with tackle rope walkways and cargo nets (height restrictions apply). The family pass includes two adults and two children.
With parental/guardian permission please send a photo or scan of your delightful design along with your name, age and email and telephone number by 11.59pm on Friday 31 October 2025 to competitions@nottscc.gov.uk using the subject title 'Transport poster competition'.
When submitting your entry, you agree that your child's name and design can be used on our social media channels, on Nottinghamshire bus station's digital totem screens, and that physical copies of your image can be displayed in our Nottbus On Demand Vehicles.
