The Easter break is just around the corner, so it’s time to start filling the calendar with fun activities to keep the kids busy.
There are a variety of fun and family-friendly activities taking place across the county. Nottinghamshire County Council has chosen their top picks of events to help you plan some egg-cellent Easter days out.
Search for treasures in beautiful green spaces with Easter trails at Rufford Abbey and Sherwood Forest, hop to your local library for arts and craft sessions, book your young adventurer in for a week of outdoor activities at Notts Outdoors’ holiday club, or why not visit Holme Pierrepont Country Park for a day of family fun activities.
Enjoy the lighter days and spring weather on an outdoor adventure, visit to one of Nottinghamshire’s many country parks and green spaces. To find a walking and cycling route or local green space visit the county council’s website at www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/walking.
The council’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) local offer website also has a range of SEND activities available, including arts and crafts, days out, and support groups.
Councillor Scott Carlton, Cabinet Member for Communities and Public Health at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “What a great time of year to explore Nottinghamshire! Whether you’re a local or visiting us this half term there’s no better way to celebrate the Easter holidays than here in Notts.
“Our country parks are beginning to bloom, the perfect places to enjoy better weather and brighter evenings. Not forgetting our libraries, we have over 60 libraries across the county that regularly run events and activities for all ages.
“There are lots of experiences for children and families to enjoy this half term. Share your adventures with us on social media by using the hashtag #ExploreNotts.”
