A brand-new bus ticket which allows passengers to travel on more than 30 bus services in Mansfield with just one ticket has now launched.

The Mansfield All Rounder ticket can be used on any bus within the zone, which includes Mansfield town centre, Berry Hill, Oak Tree, Forest Town, Ladybrook, Mansfield Woodhouse and Pleasley.

Nottinghamshire County Council has worked with Stagecoach and trentbarton to launch the ticket, which aims to make travelling by bus simpler for passengers making multiple journeys.

Passengers can now board the bus and ask for an All Rounder, with day and week tickets available for adults and ages five to 19 inclusive. All ticket types can be purchased on board with the exception of week tickets which, with Stagecoach, can only be purchased via the Stagecoach app.

A map of the Mansfield All Rounder zone along with information on fares for adults and ages five to 19 inclusive can be found on the county council’s website: https://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/transport/travel-notts/travelling-by-bus/mansfield-all-rounder-ticket

Councillor Bert Bingham, Cabinet Member for Transport and Environment at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “This is a great example of how we’re working with bus operators to make bus travel simpler for Nottinghamshire residents.

“The launch of the Mansfield All Rounder follows a successful launch of the ticket in Newark in early 2024 and this is particularly good news for passengers who travel on more than one bus in one day or week – particularly buses operated by multiple operators.

“With the All Rounder, all day travel costs £6 and it is great that the ticket can also be used on our Mansfield Evening Nottsbus On Demand Zone.

“We’d like to thank our partners at Stagecoach and trentbarton for their support to launch this ticket and we will continue to work closely to monitor the ticket’s success.”

Matt Cranwell, Managing Director of Stagecoach East Midlands, said: “The new Mansfield All Rounder range of bus tickets will make it easier and more convenient for customers to use their local bus services. Available for up to seven days, one ticket will cover the whole Mansfield town bus network, which means you pay once for unlimited travel within the Mansfield All Rounder zone.

“At Stagecoach East Midlands, we're delighted to be part of the Nottinghamshire bus partnership as it continues to lead the way in delivering quality bus services for local people, which are consistently highly rated for overall satisfaction and value for money by our customers.”

Tom Morgan, Managing Director at trentbarton, said"We’re proud to work alongside Nottinghamshire County Council and Stagecoach to make bus travel simpler and more convenient for local people.

“The Mansfield All Rounder ticket is a great example of how collaboration can remove barriers for passengers and encourage more people to choose the bus. By offering one ticket for multiple operators, we’re making it easier for customers to get where they need to go without worrying about separate fares."

Claire Ward, Mayor of the East Midlands, said: “The launch of the Mansfield All Rounder is a clear example of how working together delivers real benefits for passengers. By simplifying fares and improving choice, we’re helping make bus travel a more attractive and affordable option for residents. One of the goals in my Transport Plan Vision is to make transport easier and more affordable, and the Mansfield All Rounder is an example of what we can achieve when we put passengers first.”
