Section 188 Notices issued in 2016

Section 188 Notice issued 10 October 2016

ICT, Business Support Centre, Customer Services Centre and Hospital To Home Services

In order to implement proposed business cases, reports to the Adult Social Care & Health Committee on 10 October and  Finance & Property Committee on 17 October respectively show proposed reductions in ICT and the Hospital To Home Services.  In addition there are further post reductions planned in the Business Support Centre and the Customer Service Centre which will be subject to future reports to the relevant committees as necessary.

As a result of the reports, the Council is issuing a Section 188 Notice listing 77.1 fte posts potentially at risk of redundancy in these services only. Of the total posts at risk 25.9 fte are already vacant.

This Notice reflects potential redundancies arising from reductions in Government funding and increased demand for social care services across the Council.

The publication of the Notice marks the start of a statutory consultation period with employees and the trade unions on the proposals.
