People across the country and the Commonwealth were invited to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort over a weekend of special events on Saturday 6 to Monday 8 May 2023.
The Coronation was centred around a solemn religious ceremony and has remained largely unchanged for over a thousand years. For the last 900 years, the ceremony has taken place at Westminster Abbey, London and was conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
