The Local Improvement Scheme
The Local Improvement Scheme (LIS) provides targeted financial support for community organisations to deliver the council's priorities to make Nottinghamshire a great place to live, work visit and relax - which are at the heart of the Council Plan 2017 - 21.
Financial contributions from the LIS help organisations provide much needed services and deliver projects that will leave a legacy for years to come; creating connections between people who freely give their time, expertise and support in a range of volunteering roles.
Through the LIS 2018 - 21 we expect to:
- contribute to over 400 revenue and capital projects, for the benefit of the community
- provide financial support to around 250 Talented Athletes across Nottinghamshire
Watch Councillor John Handley opening the Bilsthorpe play park to see how LIS funding has benefited the local community.
