DBS charges
- Enhanced Checks: £41
- Standard Checks: £20
- Basic Checks: £20
NCC will apply an administration fee as follows:
- Standard / Enhanced Checks for volunteer roles: £3.60 (exc. VAT).
Where the checks are for a role that falls outside of the definition of volunteer
- Standard / Enhanced Checks for non-volunteer roles: £8.30 (exc. VAT)
Volunteers of NCC funded groups
The DBS do not charge the Disclosure fee if the application is for a volunteer.
DBS digital id verification
As part of the DBS checking process we can also use Digital DBS ID verification checks which allow you to confirm a candidate’s identity remotely using secure, government-certified technology. They replace manual document inspection with fast, compliant, and auditable digital processes — streamlining safer recruitment.
Digital checks meet Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and Home Office requirements — reducing risk of non-compliance. It reduces human error and helps prevent identity fraud. It takes away the necessity to photocopy documents or schedule in-person document reviews.
Candidates verify their identity remotely — speeding up the process and reducing admin.

- Standard / Enhanced Checks for volunteer roles: £8.80 (exc. VAT)
- Standard / Enhanced Checks for non-volunteer roles: £ 13.50 (exc. VAT)
