Equality Act 2010
The Equality Act 2010 outlines your setting's responsibilities in relation to protected characteristics.
This includes:
- age
- disability
- gender reassignment
- marriage and civil partnership
- pregnancy and maternity
- race
- religion and belief
- sex
- sexual orientation
The Act also requires settings to give due regard to:
- eliminating discrimination, harassment, victimisation and other prohibited conduct
- advancing equality of opportunity
- fostering good relations between people
