About this course

A year of celebrating the art of storytelling

This series of events will have a focus on sharing stories with children, the benefits of this and how to get the best out of this very special time.
Practitioners will be supported in thinking about their story reading and telling skills, how to create a stimulating and inviting environment, engage parents in a love of books including how digital platforms can be used and extending children’s vocabulary. The sessions will be delivered across a 12-month period with a one-hour session every half term as an online event.
The events will be suitable for all; from the longest serving staff members to the newest apprentice.
