Language Leads in PVI settings, Schools and Children’s Centres

About this course

We are continuing to do a mixture of virtual and face to face. The content is the same for each network so you only need to attend 1. The focus of this session is on child engagement and their communication environment.

We will look at how the communication environment can support the child to develop their communication skills. We will discuss how creating a communication-rich environment can develop a child’s opportunities, encourage interactions within your setting, and identify how a communication environment audit can highlight which areas can be developed further. We will link this to the reflective practice skills that we learnt last term – although it is not necessary to have attended last term’s session.

You can access the network through face to face or virtual sessions. Please remember that all the sessions are designed to be interactive so please come prepared to join in. We will be asking people to leave their cameras on in virtual sessions if possible.
