Hedge-laying for beginners
Participants will learn about the cultural heritage of hedge-laying by getting hands-on with traditional tools and techniques to restore an historic hedgerow in the Sherwood NNR. A full day of practical work will be rewarded by a bonfire-cooked lunch and full biscuit tin.
Please note there are no facilities on site, so have your final loo and brew stop before you arrive! Wear stout footwear and clothing you don’t mind getting snagged and dirty. Keep an eye on the weather and bring waterproofs and/or sunscreen. Binoculars are always handy and a camping chair will be useful at break times. Extra snacks and drinks plus any medication should be brought along with you for the day.
