Inclusion and access for all

The Mill Adventure Base staff are passionate about individuals reaching their potential by extending the range of experiences that each person can undertake within outdoor education. Through additional support or adaptation, we seek to include everyone in the activities on offer. Through this commitment The Mill has been able to develop a range of options to support disability groups and individuals, along with decades of experience in this area. Facilities include

  • full access for wheelchairs
  • two disabled toilets, left or right hand transfers
  • two disabled wet-room & toilets (no hoist)
  • a jetty hoist for transfers to water craft
  • a number of single and double access sailing dinghies (designed and built for individuals with a disability)
  • a number of stable canoes with waist and head support
  • a range of land activities for those with a restricted mobility
  • accreditations that celebrate participants success

If you are interested or unsure about how we could support you or an individual you know please do not hesitate to ask.
