Sheena Worthington – Sutton Centre Under 5’s

Sheena has been volunteering at Sutton Centre Under 5's for over 14 years. She has taken the role as chair person. She had a son at our setting who is now 18! But she has carried on supporting our Pre-School. She comes into the setting at least once a week and the children absolutely adore her fun character. Sheena knows all the children well and brings out the best in them She has set up charitable events to raise money for the setting such as family nights, ladies nights, fashion shows etc.

During Covid we couldn't have extra visitors in the setting so at Christmas she volunteered to be Santa as she didn't want to let the children down. She leads committee meetings and gets other parents involved in making decisions.

She supports staff by carrying out supervisions alongside the Manager. Sheena is dedicated to supporting the Ashfield community and volunteers in other roles. We are the luckiest Pre-School to have Sheena. She's not just a volunteer but is part of our Pre-School family
