Outstanding teams - Brooklyn Day Nursery
My son joined Brooklyn Day nursery as an 11-month-old, having been born during the lock down of 2020. I can only imagine the amount of change and adaptation required by the whole staff team during this period but by the time we joined the Brooklyn family it felt like the team had the whole situation under control and were in fact ensuring that children were continuing to thrive in their learning and play. The way that I was reassured as a new mother leaving my small son was second to none. Having transitioned through from babies, toddlers and now ‘Tweenies’ it is clear that the staff work well as a whole team and ensure that they all know the children they are working with / who are within the nursery, not just those for whom they are a key worker. Every member of staff from nursery staff, administrators and on-site support such as the cleaner greets me and my son and have clearly taken the time to know who we are - and he doesn’t even attend full time.

The care that the children receive at Brooklyn is phenomenal, my daughter has attended Brooklyn since she was a baby, she’s moved through all of the different age rooms. The staff are all fantastic, the bond they all have is beautiful to see. They literally are like one big family. Sadly, my daughter starts school in September so our Brooklyn journey will soon come to an end. I’d love these guys to get the recognition they deserve. They truly are inspirational. A huge shout out to Lizzie and Kirsty who really do make morning drop off so much easier. The smiles and enthusiasm stay with me all day knowing that my girl is in a very happy place. Well done Brooklyn you truly are amazing at what you do??
I have children currently in both these rooms at Brooklyn and both teams are exceptional. Each member of staff in the room although have children they key work they are aware both physically and emotionally aware of each child's needs and this shows on a daily basis. Both these room continue to offer the most amazing care, and this is evident from the stories I hear at pick up which continue through to bedtime. The surroundings at Brooklyn are exceptional and the children are blessed with the most beautiful spaces. Both rooms ensure the space is utilized to its best potential and outdoor play is the ethos to learning at Brooklyn. Rain or shine the staff adapt play and learning and ensure they maximise the elements of outside.
Family is the only word needed. I was so worried about going back to work after my maternity leave. Little did I know of this wonderful place that would treat my child as if he were their own. The love each member of the team has for their job is so evident in everything they do. Whilst there my son transitioned through the different age rooms but still always felt like you were part of the family of the previous age room. Every member of the Brooklyn family made sure to take a keen interest in developing my child in every way possible. They have been an integral part of the amazing child i have and I'm extremely grateful for them. As a team they looked after both emotional and educational development. They always made sure to talk to us as a family and ensure our wishes were met. An amazing family team.
They have been outstanding supporting both of our daughters, particularly adapting to the challenging needs of our eldest. They are very inclusive of all needs and abilities and always strive to do the best for the children in their care. They are always so welcoming and friendly and work with families to best meet the needs of children. They go and above and beyond what would be expected and are all amazing! The Brooklyn team have created a friendly welcoming environment that allows the children in their care to thrive, with a consistent approach to child centred development and evident affection.
Exceptional and outstanding team of lovely women that go the extra mile every day. The Brooklyn team have cared for my boys now for over 4 years and I’ve not once had one complaint. They are all friendly, full of life and positivity and dedicated to exceptional care of all children. There is no other setting quite like Brooklyn and the teams there should be recognised for the amazing effort they put in every single day!
The team always greet the children with a smile on their faces, whatever the day, whatever the weather. They know all the children inside out and always want to find out what they have been up to at the weekend etc. They provide the right amount of love and always think of engaging activities for the children in their care.
My grandchild is always excited to attend this nursery and always has exciting stories to tell of their adventures.
