Schools Pack 2026 – Nottinghamshire County Show

The Nottinghamshire County Show is on Saturday 9 May 2026, and it’s time to get your school involved! You might even win a prize!

The team has developed a schools pack to help get your pupils involved in this amazing event celebrating rural life.

The competition has been launched in the run-up to the show, in conjunction with the creation of a new free school resource designed to inspire people to find out more about the countryside.

The resource pack is filled with imaginative classroom activities, resources for teachers, and nine hands-on competitions for budding storytellers and young artists aged 4-14, plus one for adults.

As well as individual prizes of £100 vouchers to White Post Farm or Notts Adventures, there are three major prizes available for the schools, including a KS1 environmental learning trip to Bestwood Environmental Education Centre or Perlethorpe, or a visit from the Notts Outdoors climbing wall to your school all day for KS2 and up. These will go to the schools with the most pupil entries.

The resource pack is free to download and includes guidance for teachers, entry details for each competition, and curriculum-friendly activities that can be completed in school or at home.

These are the competitions in each age group:

  • KS1 Storyboard ‘A Day out at the Nottinghamshire County Show’
  • KS1 ‘Bee Colourful’
  • KS1 Rosette
  • KS2 Storyboard ‘Farming through the Seasons’
  • KS2 Bee Poem
  • KS2 Rosette
  • KS3 Honey Jar Label
  • KS3 Photograph ‘Farming in a Frame’

Get your class involved – and make sure your pupils have entered the competitions before the deadline. Competition deadline Tuesday 31 March.
