Over the last year or so there has been confusion as to the responsibility for surveying trees on school sites. It is the responsibility of schools to ensure a tree survey is carried out. This is essential to ensure that the County Council can act quickly to the presence of Ash Dieback and other diseases, and the effects they may have on your site.
The recommended timescale between each tree survey is 2 years. However, if concerns arise, such as after a storm event, the please get in contact to arrange an inspection.
Tree surveys can be carried out at a cost by Via East Midlands Ltd acting in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council.
Information from the survey will be passed to schools and property sites to action the recommended works. The responsibility to carry out any works resides with the school itself.
Please contact Joanne Elliott/Chris Mason on 0115 8402100 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a survey.
