Recruitment services to schools

Safeguarding is at the heart of every school’s responsibility — and it begins with recruitment. Ensuring that every adult working with children meets the highest standards of integrity and compliance is a statutory duty.

Nottinghamshire County Council are now offering digital recruitment solutions that help schools meet these obligations efficiently, securely, and transparently:

What we can offer you:

Social media checks

Social media checks involve reviewing a candidate’s publicly available online activity to identify potential safeguarding risks, reputational concerns, or behavioural red flags. These checks are conducted ethically and in line with GDPR, focusing on content that could impact a school’s duty of care or public trust.

References

Online referencing is a secure, automated system that replaces traditional reference checks with a streamlined digital process. It ensures consistency, compliance, and speed — while strengthening safeguarding and recruitment integrity. Manual reference chasing often delays recruitment and wastes staff time. Online systems automate requests, reminders, and collection — speeding up onboarding.

Right to work

Digital right to work checks allow schools to verify a candidate’s legal eligibility to work in the UK using secure, government-compliant technology. They replace manual document checks with fast, remote identity verification — saving time and reducing risk.

Digital checks meet Home Office standards and reduce the risk of non-compliance penalties. It takes away the necessity to photocopy passports or chase candidates for in-person document checks. Candidates verify their identity remotely — speeding up onboarding and reducing admin. We would then email across to you the PDF confirmation of their ‘right to work’. It reduces human error and protects against fraudulent documents.

DBS digital id verification

As part of the DBS checking process we can also use Digital DBS ID verification checks which allow schools to confirm a candidate’s identity remotely using secure, government-certified technology. They replace manual document inspection with fast, compliant, and auditable digital processes — streamlining safer recruitment.

Digital checks meet Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and Home Office requirements — reducing risk of non-compliance. It reduces human error and helps prevent identity fraud. It takes away the necessity to photocopy documents or schedule in-person document reviews. Candidates verify their identity remotely — speeding up onboarding and reducing admin
