As part of the InspiREAD Book Award, Inspire's Education Library Service are delighted to be inviting your primary school to join free virtual events with shortlisted authors!
These virtual author talks will give pupils a fantastic opportunity to engage with reading, meet the authors and ask their own questions.
The events are taking place on various days throughout June 2025. Each talk will last around 30-40 minutes:
- Leigh Hodgkinson - Once Upon a Big Bad Wolf, Tuesday 3 June 10am
- Rebecca Cobb - A Wild Walk to School, Thursday 12 June 2025 2pm
- Derek Keilty - Ivy Newt and the Storm Witch, Thursday 5 June 2025 10am
- Ben Davis - Lenny Lemmon and the Trail of Crumbs, Monday 16 June 2025 2pm
- Sam Sedgman - The Clockwork Conspiracy, Thursday 5 June 2025 2pm
- Phil Hickes - The Whispering Walls, Tuesday 17 June 2025 2:15pm
Not participating in InspiREAD Book Award? Schools are still welcome to attend these wonderful events! Schools need to register in advance to take part.

- There will be a member of staff present with pupils during each event;
- Staff registering for the events must use their school email address (personal email addresses are not allowed).
