You’re invited to attend Captivate's Arts Education Conference on Friday, 20 March for an exciting agenda of arts-led talks, activities and discussions at Portland College in Mansfield.
Aimed at schools, colleges, artists and cultural enablers, this event builds on previous Captivate conferences and is a must in your creative education calendar. Portland College will be partnering with Captivate to discuss the role of arts in schools, offer collaborative workshops and develop our creative offerings across Nottinghamshire.
Highlights include:
- Guest speakers, including representatives from Arts Council England, Data Culture Change and Ashfield Creates. We will explore the creative curriculum and the role of the arts in supporting mental health and wellbeing nationally and locally.
- Creative and wellbeing workshops with ideas to implement in your own setting, led by leading arts and cultural organisations.
- Creative ways to celebrate the National Year of Reading 2026.
- Connect, network and collaborate with fellow educators, artists and cultural leaders.
Tickets:
£15 for those based in Ashfield or Mansfield.
£25 for those out of the area.
*complimentary tickets for Nottinghamshire County Council staff.
Bursary placements available:
If you are an education setting in Ashfield or Mansfield, we are offering £100 bursaries for up to five schools to cover staff release time.
