Procedures and Guidance
Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Adults Board, in conjunction with our colleagues at Nottingham City Safeguarding Adults Board, has recently completed a wholesale review of the Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Multi-Agency Procedures and Guidance for Raising a Concern and Referring.
The two updated documents describe the Safeguarding Adults process for all colleagues, from first becoming aware of a potential safeguarding adults concern, to making a referral into the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH).
Other updates to the documents include practical guidance, hints and tips for workers around preventing, identifying and working with different types of abuse; a strengthening of the Making Safeguarding Personal Approach; and information regarding the Department of Health’s Pressure Ulcer Protocol in relation to Safeguarding Adults concerns.
The procedures and guidance have also been updated to reflect current best practice and incorporate changes brought about by the recent introduction of the Data Protection Act 2018.
Please read the revised Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Multi-Agency Procedures and Guidance documents (and remove any previous hard copies from circulation) and ensure all relevant staff in your organisation are aware of these new documents. A summary document of the changes is also available.14 November 2018:16:32
