Nottinghamshire County Council Chairman, Councillor Kevin Rostance, will be attending several events this week.
On Thursday 14 November, the Vice-Chairman will attend a Citizenship Ceremony at Bridgford Hall, West Bridgford welcoming new British citizens into the country.
On Thursday 14 November, Councillor Kevin Rostance, Chairman of Nottinghamshire County Council will be attending Ashfield Citizens Advice AGM and Volunteer Presentation in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. The event will celebrate 80 years of Citizens Advice and is a chance to thank volunteers for their work over the years.
The Chairman will then attend the Motor Neurone Disease ‘Second Thursday’ support group in Mapperley to meet residents whose lives have been affected by MND.
Councillor Rostance said “Support groups like the ‘Second Thursday’ are vital as they provide a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for people living with MND, their carers, family and friends to meet and chat about the issues surrounding MND whilst making friends and sharing stories.
Motor Neurone Disease is a cause close to my heart after having seen how the condition has affected a family friend. I have chosen to fundraise for the Motor Neurone Disease Association during my time as Chairman of Nottinghamshire. The charity works to improve care and support for people with MND, their families and carer, as well as funding medical research into the condition.”
