The Accountable Body is responsible for delivering the Programme on behalf of the Local Action Goup (LAG).
Nottinghamshire County Council is the Accountable Body for two LEADER Programmes in Nottinghamshire. The County Council employs the Programme Officer and ensures that the delivery of the Programme is compliant, auditable and transparent. There are various technical requirements and the Accountable Body advises the LAG on these and ensures that the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) retains confidence in the Programme and its effective delivery.
Nottinghamshire County Council will be the first point of appealing a project funding decision made by the LAG and will be the body that has responsibility for contracting with successful applicants and approving claims for the RPA to pay.
If you have any queries about how the programme is run please contact Peter Darby, LEADER Programme Manager:
