Open Voices - Beeston

Tuesday 10 July 2018 10am to 12 noon Middle Street Resource Centre £2.00

Open Voices is Music for Everyone’s latest community project. The idea is to provide specially designed singing sessions for adults with learning difficulties. Music Leaders: Cliff McArdle, Victoria Barlow and Sarah Trevers. Linking in with the expertise of Open Wings (based in Sherwood) and Reach (based in Southwell), MfE hopes to create a whole network of Open Voices singing groups in Nottinghamshire. This NEW group will meet on a Tuesday morning from 10.00am – 12.00 noon at Middle Street Resource Centre, Middle Street, Beeston NG9 2AR. The first meeting will be on 17 April and then on every Tuesday morning throughout the term. For full information about dates please visit our website (www.music-for-everyone.org) or telephone 0115 958 9312. The final session of each term will include an informal performance to friends and family. The music chosen will be varied, with everything from pop songs to classics. The singing session will include a break for refreshments. Come and try it for free. The first session for everyone will be a free taster session. After this, there will be a fee of £2 per session, covering everything you need, plus a ‘half-time’ cup of tea or coffee + biscuits! Subsidised places are available. Interested? – please send us an email to admin@music-for-everyone.org to let us know you are coming along, or just turn up at the first session. Let’s get everyone singing!
