Tackling Modern Slavery in the Hotel Sector Workshop

A half-day workshop to understand the risk of modern slavery within the hotel sector and approaches to identifying and managing it. This workshop is for hotel managers, those responsible for tackling modern slavery and related risks throughout your supply chain, and labour recruitment agencies in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. The problem: The hotel sector has been recognised as a high-risk area for labour exploitation and modern slavery where workers are at risk of abusive labour and employment practices. There have also been reports of hotels used as locations for sexual exploitation. Why attend this workshop? -You will increase your knowledge of modern slavery and areas at risk in your business. -You will understand best practices in identifying and responding to modern slavery. -You will have the opportunity to discuss challenges or issues your business may face in tackling modern slavery. -You will receive guidance on the tools and measures available to help you address modern slavery. Hosted by: The Rights Lab, a University of Nottingham research team focused on ending slavery Shiva Foundation, a corporate organisation aiming to tackle and prevent human trafficking and modern slavery in the UK Nottinghamshire police This is a free event.
