Determined admission arrangements 2021-2022

All admission authorities must determine admission arrangements by 28 February every year, even if they have not changed from previous years and a consultation has not been required.

Nottinghamshire County Council determined its admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools on 10 February 2020. A minor change was made on 25 February 2020 in respect of highest priority within over subscription criteria for looked after and previously looked after children.

Following a variation to the faith criteria approved by the Office of the Schools Adjudicator in Determinations VAR1641-VAR1651 and VAR1879 the document has been updated following approval by Policy Committee on 9 December 2020

It is the responsibility of all admission authorities to ensure that admission arrangements comply with the School Admissions Code. For own admission authority schools, the governing body is the admissions authority and it determines its admission arrangements annually.

Determined admission arrangements for the following will be posted here as they are received by the County Council.

Nottingham City Council's consultation documents are available on their website.

Objections to admission arrangements

Once all arrangements have been determined, arrangements can be objected to and referred to the Schools Adjudicator whose decision is binding and enforceable. Objections to admission arrangements for entry in September 2021 must be referred to the Adjudicator by 15 May 2020. The Schools Adjudicator may investigate the admission arrangements of any school that the Adjudicator considers do not or may not comply with the mandatory requirements of the School Admissions Code or the law.
