Determined admission arrangements 2019-2020

All admission authorities must determine admission arrangements by 28 February every year, even if they have not changed from previous years and a consultation has not been required.

Nottinghamshire County Council determined its admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools on 12 February 2018. Following a ruling by the Schools Adjudicator on 26 September 2018 these arrangements were revised on 26 October 2018 to ensure compliance. The revision relates specifically to Abbey Road Primary School and the definition of displaced sibling. The document had previously been updated on 31 July 2018 to clarify the measuring point for a child’s home address.

Own admission authority schools - foundation, voluntary aided, trust or academy schools

It is the responsibility of all admission authorities to ensure that admission arrangements comply with the School Admissions Code. For own admission authority schools, the governing body is the admissions authority and it determines its admission arrangements annually.

Determined admission arrangements for the following will be posted here as they are received by the County Council.

Objections to admission arrangements

Once all arrangements have been determined, arrangements can be objected to and referred to the Schools Adjudicator whose decision is binding and enforceable. Objections to admission arrangements for entry in September 2019 must be referred to the Adjudicator by 15 May 2018. The Schools Adjudicator may investigate the admission arrangements of any school that the Adjudicator considers do not or may not comply with the mandatory requirements of the School Admissions Code or the law.
