Director of Public Health annual report

It is a requirement for all Directors of Public Health to produce an annual independent report on the health of their local population (the local authority is required to publish it).

The report is to raise awareness and understanding of local health issues, highlight areas of specific concern and make recommendations for change.

This year's report focuses on how ‘good work’ is a dominant factor shaping our health and what can be done to ensure that more people in Nottinghamshire enjoy the benefits of good work.

The report also contains a short update on progress relating to the previous year's annual report [PDF], which was on how public health approaches can help to prevent and reduce the impact of all kinds of violence, for individuals and for communities.
