Early Years education and childcare training

Please note: all TADO courses have been postponed up to and including 30th April. If you are booked onto a course during this time you will be notified once it is re-organised, you do not need to do anything further at this time.

Early Childhood Services vision: "We want Nottinghamshire to be a place where children feel safe, healthy and happy, where everyone enjoys a good quality of life and where everyone can achieve their potential.

"We want to ensure that all young children and their families are able to reach their potential by having the best possible start in life through the provision of high quality, integrated early childhood services that prepare them for school and narrow the attainment gap between the most disadvantaged children and their peers."

Through the following training and development opportunities we aim is to support you to make a difference for children, young people and their families, improve outcomes for children and develop high quality, inclusive and safe early education and childcare provision.

The training outlined on these pages is open to childcare settings in the county of Nottinghamshire. Other practitioners working outside the county who wish to attend courses will incur a charge of £50 (unless other fees are stated).

Training and development opportunities (TADO)

We ask that applicants hold dates in their diary at the point of application. To book on an event click on the Eventbrite link within the event description. Confirmation of your booking will be sent immediately to your email address.

Please do not show up at an event if you have not booked a place and received a confirmation letter or ticket unless you are replacing a colleague. If you attend an event without booking through Eventbrite, the Trainer will send you away.

Waiting lists

Waiting lists are available for all Early Years courses on Eventbrite. If the course is full please add your details onto the waiting list, once a space becomes available you will receive an email. You will then have two days to apply for the course, if you do not apply within those two days you will lose your place.

Cancellations are undertaken through your Eventbrite account. To avoid a £50 late cancellation fee, cancellations must be made over 5 working days prior to the start of the event.

Please read the application process guidelines before submitting your application.

Should you have any other training needs that the current training programme does not cover, please let us know by emailing
