Registration Office - The Nottinghamshire Registration Office - Worksop
A contemporary building with stained glass features hosting the Nottinghamshire Register Office.
Worksop, situated at the northern edge of Sherwood Forest, is also known as the “Gateway to The Dukeries” because of the four ducal locations of Clumber House, Thoresby Hall, Welbeck Abbey and Worksop Manor. Worksop boasts the contemporary style Victoria Suite. Its high, beamed, dome ceiling and stained-glass feature doors that lead out onto a private garden create a striking image.
Worksop is also the home to Nottinghamshire’s Register Office, the place for couples wanting a low-key ceremony with just their two witnesses and the minimum legal requirements. The Register Office is a small, contemporary and tastefully decorated room with space for four people.
A two-minute walk away is the Worksop Memorial Gardens, an essential visit for capturing those special photos amongst the picturesque flower displays or on the bridges crossing the river Ryton.
